Conditions for Progression to the 2nd Year
A student progresses to the 2nd year upon earning 42 ECTS credits in the first year. The student must successfully pass the following compulsory exams:
- Engineering Mathematics
- Modern Manufacturing Technologies
- Digital Product Development
Conditions for Progression to the 3rd Year
A student progresses to the 3rd year after completing all first-year obligations and earning at least 36 ECTS credits in the second year. The student must successfully pass the following compulsory exams:
- Production Planning and Management
- Computer-Aided Manufacturing
- Modern Mechatronic Systems in Production
Repeating a Year, Program Change, and Graduate Status
- During their studies, a student may repeat a year once or change the study program due to unfulfilled obligations in the previous program.
- A student may repeat the year in which they were first enrolled in the current academic year if they have earned at least 30 ECTS credits for that year.
- Through progression, repeating a year, or maintaining graduate status, a student retains student rights and benefits as defined by law.
- For justified reasons, the VŠPI Study Affairs Committee may extend the student’s status if the student has not fulfilled the requirements for progression and has already used the right to repeat a year.
